Today the musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra announced that they’re having another lockout concert!
All the cool kids online use reaction gifs to express their joy whenever they hear good news, so here’s one I found:
Details here. Program is Bruckner and Mozart. Tickets go on sale Tuesday at noon!
Will you guys be there? Maybe we should meet up beforehand (or after). Shoot the breeze. Celebrate our connections with one another. Vent. Bond. It’s really really tough being a locked-out patron, and feeling so powerless. Might be a cathartic uplifting thing for those of us who are feeling ignored and disrespected by management. What do you guys say? Feel free to brainstorm here. Where might be a good place to meet up?
Hope to see you there!!
I’d love to meet – chances are the weather will be a lot better that it was the last time!!

I would be curious to know what Henson would say if asked whether the lockout was deliberate to save money during a construction year . . .
God, I hope so, Sarah! I almost missed the Sibelius concert. If Emily hadn’t planned the little get together before the concert, I would have been screwed. As it turned out, it took well over an hour when it usually takes less that 20 minutes to get downtown. I’d love to actually make the pre concert get together this time around.
Yes, I’ll certainly be at the concert, and it would be nice to get together again. It may be better to meet afterwords–less time pressure, the concert to talk about. It needn’t be a bar setting. A coffee house would do.
